Painting the Landscape with Richard Rogers

Join us for an exciting painting workshop where the landscape is reimagined!
Richard will show you different techniques on how to bring the landscape alive with your own interpretation.
All skills welcome from beginners to advanced! Spaces are limited.

​Cost is $80 and includes 5 hours of tuition, a canvas, use of an easel and a choice of photo references to paint from.
You will need to bring paints, brushes and palette.
(Bring all your acrylic paints. Minimum colours required: Titanium white, orange, and the three primary colours, red, yellow and blue)

Workshop runs from 10am until 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break included. (Bring your own lunch).​
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Richard is a practicing artist based in Prospect. As a visual artist he has long specialised in teaching acrylic painting, helping aspiring artists unlock their creativity and gain the skills needed to achieve their artistic vision, in whatever style they choose to work.
​
As well as tutoring at major art schools including Cairns Art Escape, Grampians Brushes, Canberra Summer Art School, and the Mitchell School of Art, Richard has done many workshops and demonstrations around Australia - too many to list.
​
Richard has an exhibition history dating back to 1985. In 2003 his drawings of Australian wildlife were reproduced as a card series by Watermark Publishing.
​
He has produced seven art instruction DVDs and published A Guidebook for Acrylic Artists. His work has also been featured in the Artist’s Palette, Australian Artist as well as international artist magazines.

The 27th Prospect Community Art Show
The Prospect Community Art Show showcases artworks made by the people of Prospect or those with a strong connection to our city.
​
If you are a resident of Prospect or have a strong connection to our City we would love to display your artwork. There is no fee to enter and no commission will be charged on artworks sold.
​

Apply for an Exhibition in 2027
Applications are open now and close 30 August 2026 (for exhibitions in February, March, April, June, July, September, October and November 2027*). *The months of May, August and December are usually reserved for annual community programming.
We are seeking exhibition proposals:
- Of innovative artwork in 2D or 3D media, moving image or sound art, in which the audience experience is considered
- Of new work that has not been exhibited in the Adelaide metropolitan area, in both solo and group exhibitions.
