The upgrade of Devonport Terrace included the establishment of rain gardens and new plantings that included those favoured by the native Painted Lady butterfly. The butterfly lifecycle is depicted along the Terrace with a series of artworks from caterpillar to cocoon to butterfly. The works are visible to passengers on the passing trains as a butterfly in motion.
