Workshop - Modern Mending : A Textile Ethics Sewing Workshop

Learn the skills required to darn your socks, replace buttons, take-in pants.  If you want to get fancy, add a pocket here, a patch there. The ethic of the workshop is an antidote to the hidden costs of consumer fashion. Keep your old clothes alive and meaningful.

There will be a cache of cloth, thread, buttons and needles and a couple of sewing machines. Participants should bring any clothes that need alterations, spare material to augment clothes with, extra buttons etc.
