This course is designed to introduce participants to a basic oil painting kit and to learn to paint still lives and interiors from life. Gemma will introduce participants to a range of drawing and painting techniques from life, so at the completion of the course students will feel confident to practice painting what they see in their own style.

Materials will be provided. Feel free to bring along any oil paints that you may have.

This course is designed for beginners and those wanting to learn additional skills, and is @120 per participant. 

Gemma Rose Brook is an emerging Australian artist those practice focuses on painting her environments from life using the alla prima technique.  Gemma graduated from Adelaide Central School of Art with a Bachelor of Visual Art in 2019. She is Carclew's Artist in Residence for 2020 and was recently awarded the Carclew Fellowship to complete a mentorship with plein air painter Tom Carment. www.gemmarosebrook.com
