This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from Karl as he speaks about his journey that led to the commissioning of Threads in Motion by City of Prospect in 2019, supported by Arts South Australia, and it's installation in October 2020.

Threads in Motion is undoubtedly one of South Australia's most intriguing major Public Art commissions and is now installed at City of Prospect's main Council and community facility, Payinthi.

Karl will talk through the design process, inspiration and journey from the maker's perspective, and will teach us about the messy end of the creative process that he the incredibly talented team at Exhibition Studios went through over the 12 months of its creation. It will be an insight as mesmerising and intriguing as the artwork itself.
